According to Archimedes’ principle,

“The volume of the water replaced will be equal to the volume of the body and the weight of the water replaced will be equal to the weight loss of the body in water.”

Now,

The body loses its weight

=110–100 gm

=10 gm

therefore, the weight of the water replaced = 10 gm.

The density of water is given as 1 gm/cc

so, the volume of the water replaced will be =10*1 cc = 10 cc.

Therefore, the volume of the body = 10 cc.

Therefore, Density of the body,

=mass/volume

=110/10

=11 gm/cc.

Answer:

11 gm/cm^3

Explanation:

By Archimedes’ principle,

Body weight in different mediums

weight in air = 110 gm

weight in water = 100 gm

now,

water replaced by the body = 110 -100 = 10 gm

The density of water is given 1 gm/cm^3

volume of the body = volume of the water replaced by the body = 10 cm^3

Density = mass/volume

Density of body = 110/10 gm/cm^3

Density of body = 11 gm/cm^3 ans.
