Answer:

Weight of the body in air =500gf

Weight of the body in water =450gf

∴ (i) loss of weight of the body when immersed in water =500gf−450gf=50gf.

(ii) upthrust of the body=loss in weight of the body =50gf.

(iii) upthrust =Vdg

⇒50gf×g=V×1gcm

⇒volumeofthebodyV=50cm

a) Loss of weight = 80N

b) Buoyancy on body = 80N

c) Weight of water over flowed = 80N

Explanation:

Given : weight of body in air = 200N

weight of body in water = 120N

a) loss of weight = weight in air - weight in water

= 200 - 120

=80N

b) buoyancy on body = the upthrust provided by the water on body and that is equal to the weight loss of body in water

= 80N

c) weight of water over flowed = weight displaced by water = weight lost in water

= 80N
