thus taking u=0m/s and 1 st equation of newton final velocity as 40m/s (taking g=10m/s^2).

then applying 3rd equation we get the total height which is 80 m .

then taking half the height that is 40m ,m and then applying the second equation we get the time to be 2.8 sec .
