A body which is thrown upward rises to a height ‘h’ and comes back to the position of the start. Calculate
i) the net displacement.
ii) distance travelled by the object.
b) what is retardation ? give an example.

A) i) Displacement = 0 ; since the initial and final position of the body are same.

ii) Distance travelled = 2h ; since the body goes up to height h and comes down by an equal distance.

B) Retardation is the act or result of delaying.

For example :- Velocity of vehicle decreases when brake is applied.
