Mass = 4.0 kg

height= 12m

u= 0m/s

g= 10m/s2

initial potential energy= MGH

= 4×10×12

= 480J

kinetic energy at the height of 8m

= 1/2mv2

v=?

2as= v2 - u2

2×10×8= v2- (0)2

160= v2-0

v2= 160

v= √160

Kinetic energy=

1/2mv2

= 1/2× 4× (√160)2

= 2× 160

= 320J

Total energy= 320J + 480J

= 800J
