Given that, a body with an initial velocity of 10 m/s. After 8 second it's velocity is 20 m/s.

We have to find the acceleration of the body.

From the above data we have; initial velocity (u) is 10 m/s, final velocity (v) is 20 m/s and time (t) is 8 sec.

First equation of motion:

v = u + at

Second equation of motion:

s = ut + 1/2 at²

Third equation of motion:

v² - u² = 2as

We have value of v, u and t. So,

Using the First Equation Of Motion,

v = u + at

Substitute the known values in the above formula,

→ 20 = 10 + a(8)

→ 20 - 10 = 8a

→ 10 = 8a

Divide by 8 on both sides,

→ 10/8 = 8a/8

→ 1.25 = a

Therefore, the acceleration of the body is 1.25 m/s².
