S = ut + 1/2at^2

20 = 5t^2

20/5 = t^2

4 = t^2

4 = t

t = 2 seconds.

Hope it helps you..

Answer:

2 seconds

Explanation:

S(displacement) =20m

G(gravity) =10m/s^2

U(initial velocity) =0

T(time) =?

Using newton's 2 equation

S=UT+1/2GT^2

20=0×T+1/2×10×T^2

20×2=10T^2

40=10T^2

4=T^2

T=root 4

T=2sec

So time required is 2 seconds
