Hello Dear,

◆ Answer -

Horizontal distance = 1500 m

◆ Explanation -

During vertical downward motion of bomb,

s = ut + 1/2 at^2

490 = 0×t + 1/2 × 9.8 × t^2

t^2 = 490 / 4.9

t^2 = 100

t = 10 s

Horizontal distance travelled by the bomb in this time is calculated by -

s = v.t

s = 150 × 10

s = 1500 m

Therefore, horizontal distance travelled by bomb before falling is 1500 m.

Thanks dear...
