=> Initial Momentum = Final Momentum
=> 12 x 0 = 4(v) + 8(6)
=> 0 = 4v + 48 kg m/s
=> -48 = 4v
=> -48/4 = v
=> -12 m/s = v [ -ve signs indicate that body is moving in opposite direction ].
Since, We found velocity,
=> K.E = 1/2 mv^2
=> K.E = 1/2 x 4 x (-12)^2
=> K.E = (2 x 144) Joules
=> K.E = 288 Joules.
