A bomb of mass 20 kg is moving with a velocity of 10 ms on a straight path and suddenly explodes into two fragments. One moves in the same direction with velocity of 40 ms and other in
opposite direction with velocity of 20 ms-1. Find the magnitude of the masses.

Explanation:
Stationary so initial momentum will be zero.
momentum of 2kg is P1=2×8=16kgm/s
that if 1kg is P2=1×12=12kgm/s
both being at right angle so their resultant will be P=P12+P22=256+144=20kgm/s
the third should have same momentum but in opposite direction to make the net momentum zero.
Now its velocity should be V=mP=0.520=40m/s
