or, 500 = 0 + 1/2 × 10 × t^2
or, t = 10s
Time taken by the sound to reach the observer from the ground to the top of the building = 500/350 = 1.43s
Therefore total time taken = 10 + 1.43 = 11.43s
or, 500 = 0 + 1/2 × 10 × t^2
or, t = 10s
