Proof :
This is a case of height-ground projectile.
Let the initial horizontal velocity vector be u and the initial vertical velocity vector be zero.
Let height of flying of plane be h .
At the time of striking of bomb with the target:
So , the final vertical velocity is √(2gh)
But , the final horizon till velocity vector will still be u and independent of the height h. This is because there is no acceleration along the x axis.
