Volume of a cuboid = lbh

where, l is the length, b is the breadth/width, and h is the height.

Given, length is 24 cm, breadth/width is 14 cm, and height is 2 cm

According to the formula,

Volume of the book

672 cubic.cm

The volume of 12 such books is 12 times 672 which is 8064 cubic.cm .

We have the dimensions of book ,

  • Length = 24 cm

  • Width = 14 cm

  • Height = 2 cm

The books are rectangular in shape. So, it's 3D figure is cuboid.

The volume of 12 books = 12 × Volume of 1 Book

Volume of 1 Book = Volume of cuboid

We know, that the Volume of cuboid = L × B × H

➝ Volume of 1 Book = L × B × H

➝ 24 × 14 × 2

➝ 336 × 2

672 cm³

The volume of 12 books = 12 × Volume of 1 Book

➝ 12 × 672

8064 cm³

The volume of 12 such books piled on top of the other is 8064 cm³ .
