Given:-

  • Mass (m) = 20gm

  • Acceleration due to gravity (g) = 10m/s²

To Find:-

  • Thrust exerted by the book on the table(F).

Solution:-

Firstly we convert the mass into kilograms

1 kg = 1000gm

∴ 20gm = 20/1000 = 2/100

As we know that the force acting perpendicularly on a given area is called the thrust.

→ F = mg

Substitute the value we get

→ F = (2/100) × 10

→ F = 2/10

→ F = 0.2N

The thrust exerted by the book on the table is 0.2 Newtown.

Given :-

  • Mass Of Book = 20 grams = 0.02kg.

  • Acceleration due to Gravity = 10m/s²

To Find :-

  • Thrust exerted by the book on the table.

Solution :-

We know that,

Force = Mass × Acceleration due to Gravity.

⇒ F = 0.02 × 10.

⇒ F = 2/100 × 10.

⇒ F = 2/10.

⇒ F = 0.2N.

Hence, The Force exerted by the book on the table = 0.2 Newton.
