Answer:

An “Encyclopaedia” is a collection of summaries or knowledge from multiple branches of disciplines, gathers them at one place into articles, journals, categories etc. they are much better than dictionaries, although they are formed from dictionaries in 18th century, but more efficient than a dictionary as they provide information that is more than etymology, meaning, pronunciation and goes beyond factual information. The word itself comes from a Greek word “enkyklios paideia”, meaning "general education" or “circular education” going by the words. This was later turned into "encyclopaedia" from Latin to English.
