number of books in the shelf is 100

and there are 5 different languages books

so,there are 20 book s of each language

therefore there are 20 books of Latin,20 books of greek and 20 of english

therefore 20+20+20 is 60 and total number of books are 100

so, 100 - 60 and the final answer is 40 books are left

aman240292: it is not specified that there are 20 books of each language
