Answer:

Given -:

A bought a book for 600 and sold it to B at a

profit of 10%. B in turn sold it to C at a loss of

10%. The price at which C bought the book was:

To find -:

The price at which C bought the book.

Solution-:

C.P of A = Rs. 600

S.P. of A = 600×(10/100)

 = 6 \times 10 = rs.60

S.P=600+60=rs.660=C.P of B

B  \: sold \:  this \:  book \:  which \:  he  \: bought    \\ \: at Rs.660 \:  at \:  a  \: loss  \: of  \: 10\% to  \: C.

C.P of C = (100-10)\% of  \: 660

C.P of C = 660× \frac{90}{100} = 594

Thus,C should pay Rs.594 to bought the book.
