lets first consider commerce between c and b

given sales price = Rs 22000

Loss = 20%

let cost price for b = x

cost price = sales price + loss

  ⇒ x = 22000 + 20% of x = 22000 + (20/100)×x = 22000 + x/5

  ⇒  x - x/5 = 22000

  ⇒  4x/5 = 22000

  ⇒  x = 22000 × 5/4 = Rs27500

so cost price for b = Rs 27500

Now consider commerce between b and a

cost price for b in first scenario is sales price for a

so sales price for a = Rs 27500

let cost price for a = y

cost price = sales price - profit

  ⇒   y = 27500 - 10% of y      ( given profit for a is 10%)

  ⇒   y = 27500 - 10y/100 = 27500 - y/10

  ⇒   y + y/10  = 27500

  ⇒   11y/10 = 27500

  ⇒   y = 27500 × 10/11 = 25000

   Cost price for a = y = Rs 25000

   Hence a bought  ring for Rs 25000
