A box contain 150orange.if one orange is taken out from the box at random and the probability of its being rotten is0.06then find the number of good oranges in the box

let the number of rotten oranges be x

so

p(rotten)=x/150

0.06 × 150 = x

9 = x

probablity of rotten oranges = 0.06

let number of rotten oranges is x then

0.06=x/150

x=9

number of good oranges

= 150-9 => 141

probablity of good oranges = 141/150 =0.94
