A box contain 4 red balls, 7 white balls and 11 green balls. One ball is taken out of
the box at random. What is the probability that the ball taken out will be (i) white
? (ii) not red?

Solution :-

Probability of getting white balls = No. of white balls / total no. of balls

 =  \frac{7}{22}

So,

The probability of getting white ball is 7/22.

Probability of getting not red balls = Not red balls / total no. of balls

 =  \frac{18}{22}

So,

The probability of getting not red balls is 18 /22.
