Total Number of sweets=286
Distributed in 3 children
Ratio=1/2:1/3:1/4

Let Ratio=1/2x,1/3x/1/4x
A/Q

1/2x+1/3x+1/4x=286 {LCM=12}
1×6x+1x×4+1x×3/12=286
6x+4x+3x/12=286
13x/12=286
x=286×12/13
X=22×12
X=264

1st Children=1/2x
=1/2×264=132 sweets

2nd Children=1/3x
1/3×264=88 sweets

3rd Children=1/4x
=1/4×264=66 sweets

Total Number of sweets = 286

3 Ratios = [tex]\frac{1}{2}[/tex] : [tex]\frac{1}{3}[/tex] : [tex]\frac{1}{4}[/tex]

Let the Ratio be \frac{1}{2x} , \frac{1}{3x} , \frac{1}{4x}

\frac{1}{2x} \frac{1}{3x} \frac{1}{4x} = 286{LCM = 12}

1 × 6x + 1 × 4x + 1x × \frac {3}{12} = 286

6x + 4x + \frac {3x}{12} = 286

\frac {13x}{12} = 286

 x = 286 × \frac {12}{13}

 x = 22 × 12

 x = 264

First Children = 1/2x

1/2x × 264

132

Second Children =1/3x

1/3 × 264

88

Third Children = 1/4x

1/4x × 264

66

☆ Therefore ☆

Each child will get 132,88 and 66 sweets.
