Answer:

ANSWER

Since, Total no. of balls =7+8+5=20

(1) No. of white balls =5

∴ probability of getting a white ball =

20

5

=

(2) No. of balls that are neither red nor white =8

∴ probability of getting a ball that are neither red nor white =

Given,

A box contains 3 red balls , 7 white balls and 5 green balls.

To Find,

The probability of getting a white ball randomly.

Solution,

No. of red balls = 3

No. of white balls = 7

No. of green balls = 5

Total no. of balls = 3+7+5 = 15

Probability of randomly drawing a white ball = \frac{No. of white balls}{Total no. of balls}

= 7/15

As the fraction is in its simplest form, there is no need of further simplifications.

So, the answer is 7/15

What is probability?

The possibility of a happening of an event is known as probability where outcomes of a random experiment is known as an event. Probability always lies between the numbers 0 (null) and 1 (sure).
