SOLUTION :-

=> (1) The probability of the getting a red marbles = Number of red marble / Total number of marbles.

=> The probability of the getting a red marbles = 5/(5+8+4)

=> 5/17.

=> (2) The probability of the getting a white marbles = Number of white marble / Total number of marbles.

=> The probability of the getting a white marbles = 8/(5+8+4)

=> 8/17.

=> (3) The probability of the getting a green marbles = Number of green marble / Total number of marbles.

=> The probability of the getting a green marbles = 4/(5+8+4)

=> 4/17.

=> p(a green marbles) + p( not a green marbles) = 1.

=> p( a not green marbles) = 1 - p(a green marbles)

=> p( a not green marbles) = 1 - 4/17

=> p( a not green marbles) = 13/17.

Thus, the probability of not getting a green marbles is 13/17.

No. of red marbles = 5

No. of white marbles = 8

No. of green marbles = 4

Total no. of marbles = 17

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

(i) Probability of getting a red marble = \large\sf\frac{5}{17}

(ii) Probability of getting a white marble = \large\sf\frac{8}{17}

(iii) Probability of getting a green marble = \large\sf\frac{4}{17}

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Probability of not getting a green marble

= 1 - P(E)

= \large\sf{1-\frac{4}{17}}

= \large\sf\frac{13}{17}
