Total number of cards = 17

Find the number of cards that are prime numbers:

Total number of cards that are prime numbers = 7

(They are : 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17)

Find the number of cards that are multiple of 3s:

Total number of cards that are multiple of 3 = 5

(They are : 3, 6, 9, 12, 15)

Find the number of cards that are both a prime number and a multiple of 3:

Total number of cards that are a prime number and a multiple of 3 = 1

(It is 3)

Find the probability that the card is a prime number and multiple of 3:

P(a prime number and a multiple of 3) = 1/17

hey!

here is answer

total no of card=17

prime numbers are

2,3,5,7,11,13,17

hence

probability..

p(e)=7/17

and

multiple of 3

hence

3,6,9,12,15

hence

p(e)=5/17

and a prime number and multiple of 3

=3 only
= p(e)=1/17

hope it helps

thanks
