Answer:

Let the number of coin + Ring in box is 100

Then by given conditions

No. of coin =60

No. of Ring=100-60=40

No . of Ring of gold =

100

40×40

=16

No. of Coins of silver =

100

30×60

=18

No. of Coins of gold=60-18=42

No.of (coins+Rings ) of gold=16+42=58

Hence % of gold articals=58 %

Given:

Percentage of coins in the box = 30%

Percentage silver jewels out of the total jewels = 40%

To find:

The percentage of gold jewels in the box.

Solution:

Let the total number of objects in the box = x

The percentage of jewels in the box = 100% - 30% = 70%

Number of jewels = (70*x) / 100 = 0.7x

Number of silver jewels = 40% of 0.7x

= (40*0.7x) / 100 = 0.28x

Number of gold jewels = 0.7x - 0.28x = 0.42x

Percentage of gold jewels in the box = (0.42x / x) *100 = 42%

The percentage of objects that are gold jewels = 42%.
