Given :- A box contains three distinct white balls, four distinct black balls, and three distinct red balls.the number of ways in which three balls can be drawn from the box so that all the three drawn balls will have different colour is ?

Solution :-

→ Total white balls = 3

→ Total black balls = 4

→ Total red balls = 3

so,

→ Number of ways in 1 white ball is selected = 3(C)1 = 3!/2! = 3

→ Number of ways in 1 black ball is selected = 4(C)1 = 4!/3! = 4

→ Number of ways in 1 red ball is selected = 3(C)1 = 3!/2! = 3

therefore,

→ Total number of ways in which three balls can be drawn from the box so that all the three drawn balls will have different colour is = 3 * 4 * 3 = 36 ways (Ans.)
