A box has 4 red balls and 12 black balls. Find the probability that the selected ball is

(i) a red ball (ii)a black ball, chosen at random from the box. Also, prove that sum of these two probabilities is 1?

Here is your answer....

1)P(red ball)=1/4

2)P(black ball)=3/4

1/4+3/4=4/4=1
