GIVEN =>

_____________________

• The surface area of the box = 0.5 sq. m

The weight of the box = 80 N

_________________________

So

The applied force on box = 80× 10 = 800 N

___________________

FORMULA

PRESSURE = FORCE / AREA

SOLUTION

The pressure is exert on the ground =

800/0.5 = 1600 pascal

ANSWER

Pressure=force per unit area
Force is equal to mg and which is equal to weight of the body
So pressure exerted is equal to 160N/Sqm
