The height should be 12.5 cm

Given data :

Length of the given box = 20cm

Width of the given box = 12cm

Volume of given box = 3 litres = 3000 cm³ [ Term of the unit conversion 1 litre = 1000 cm³]

Let the height = h cm ( assume, h = variable, to calculate the height of the box)

• Now,we have to calculate the volume by the following formula

Length of the box × Width of the box × Height of the box

• So, volume = 20×12×h cm³

20×12×h = 3000

h = 3000/240

h = 12.5

So,the height of the given box 12.5 m (answer).
