A box M of mass 2kg is placed on an inclined surface with friction f=6.7N. At what angle Θ will the box be in equilibrium.

Mass = 2kg

f = 6.7 N

Assuming g = 10 m/s^{2}

For the body to be in equilibrium,

f - mgsinΘ = 0 [Newton's second law of motion]

therefore,

f = mgsinΘ

6.7 = 2 * 10 * sinΘ

sinΘ = 6.7/20

sinΘ = 0.335

Θ = sin^{-1} (0.335)

Θ ≈ 19.57 °

Hence, the inclination should be of 19.57 °
