mass of man =60kg

mass of box =50kg

total mass = 50+60=110

total force=110*9.8=1078

work done=f*s=>1078*50m    (s=height lifted=>50m)

        =53900

so workdone =53900 joules

The work done by the man is 53900 J.

Explanation:

It is given that,

Mass of the box is 50 kg and mass of the man is 60 kg. Total mass of the system will be 110 kg

It is lifted to a height of 50 meters. If W is the work done by the man. We know that work done by an object is equal to the product of force and displacement. The force acting on the system will be :

So, W=mgh

W=110\ kg\times 9.8\ m/s^2\times 50\ m

W = 53900 Joules

So, the work done by the man is 53900 J. Hence, this is the required solution.
