a box with 2 kg in mass was initiwlly moving on a smooth and stright plane at velocity of 2 m/s then on that box applied a force F=20 N so that velocity becomes 8 m/s. Determine :
A. The work done by force F
B. The distance travelled

The work done by force F

It depends on how long the force is applied.

F=ma
→ a = F/m = 20N / 2 kg = 10 m/s2
V= at
E = 1/2 m*V^2 = 0.5 × 2kg×(10*t)^2 = 100*t^2

In 1 second 100 Joules is expended.
In 10 seconds 1000 Joules is expended.

The associated speeds are 10 m/s, 100m/s,
