external volume of the box=56×39×30cubic cm
=65520cubic cm
internal length=56-3×2=50cm
internal width=39-6=33cm
internal depth=30-6=24cm
internal volume=50×33×24=39600cubic cm
hence the capacity of the box=39600cu cm
volume of wood used to make the box=65520-39600cu cm
=25920cu cm
