A box without a lid is made of wood which is 3 cm thick.Its external dimensions are 86cm*60cm*45cm. (1) Find the capacity of the box in cubic centimeter.
(2)the volume of wood used in making the box.
(3)the weight of the empty box, if one cm cube of wood weighs 0.8 grams.

For external box,  

L=56 CM

B=39 CM

H=30 CM

VOLUME=L*B*H=56*39*30=65520 CM³

For internal ,  

L=56-6=50 cm

B=39-6=33 cm

H=30-6=24 cm

VOLUME=L*B*H=59*33*24=39600 CM³

WOOD USED=65520-39650=25920CM³
