Width of river = 7 m & Height of Tree = 11.4 m

Step-by-step explanation:

T = height of tree in m

W = width of river

Tan 45°   =  ( T - 1.4) /(W + 3)

=> 1 =  ( T - 1.4) /(W + 3)

=> T - 1.4 =  W + 3

=> T = W + 4.4

Tan 55 =  (T - 1.4) / ( W)

=> 1.428 = (W + 3)/W

=> 1.428W = W + 3

=> 0.428W = 3

=> W = 7

Width of river = 7 m

T = W + 4.4 = 7 + 4.4 = 11.4 m

Height of Tree = 11.4 m
