let the number of wrong terms ne d
therefore
Y- 2z + d = x+y
d= x+y-y+2z
d= x+2z
therefore the wrong term he did is equal to x+2z

The number of wrong sums = x + 2z.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

The number of total sums  = x + y and the number of correct sums = y - 2z

To find, the number of wrong sums = ?

∴ The number of wrong sums = The number of total sums - The number of correctsums

The number of wrong sums = x + y - (y - 2z)

= x + y - y + 2z

= x + 2z

∴ The number of wrong sums = x + 2z

Hence, the number of wrong sums = x + 2z.
