Answer:

543

Step-by-step explanation:

Let tie be = t

Let shorts be = s

Let shirts be = y

y + t = 490 ------ 1

s + t = 270 -------2

subtract equation 1 & 2.

y-s=220

⇒y=220+s

from equation 2

t= 270-s

now substitute the values of y & t in equation: 4t+6s+5y=2551

⇒4(270-s)+6s+5(220+s)=2551

⇒1080-4s+6s+1100+5s=2551

⇒2180+7s=2551

⇒s=(2551-2180)/7

⇒s=53

y=217          ---(220+s)

t=273          ---(270-s)

add s,t and y

=543
