Given :-

  • A boy covers a distance of 1.2km in 40min , find his speed in km per hours

Solution :-

  • First of all, to find his speed in kmph (kilo metre per hour) , let us convert the time into hours

       40 min =  \sf\frac{40}{60} = \sf\frac{2}{3} hours

  • Now, we know that,

       Speed = \sf\frac{distance }{time}

    ⇒ Speed = \sf\frac{1.2}{\frac{2}{3} } = \sf\frac{1.2 \times 3}{2} = 1.8 kmph

Speed of the boy is 1.8 kmph (kilo metre per hour)
