Let time taken to travel on foot = x
Then, time taken to travel on bicycle = (2.5 - x)
So,
5(x) + 10(2.5 - x) = 20
Solving, we get
x = 1
So, distance travelled on foot = 5 km
Hence, the boy covered 5 km on foot.
Hope this helps! :P
