The area of sector is  275 cm^{2}.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have,

The radius of circle (r) = 15 cm and

Sector angle(\theta = 140°

To find, the area of sector = ?

We know that,

The area of sector =\dfrac{\theta}{360} \pi r^{2}

=\dfrac{140}{360} \times \dfrac{22}{7} 15\times 15

=\dfrac{14}{36} \times \dfrac{22}{7} \times 15\times 15

=\dfrac{2}{12} \times \dfrac{22}{1} \times 5\times 15

=\dfrac{1}{3} \times \dfrac{11}{1} \times 5\times 15

=\dfrac{11}{1} \times 5\times 5

= 55 × 5 = 275 cm^{2}

Hence, the area of sector is  275 cm^{2}.
