A boy deposited Rs.73000 in the bank. If the currency notes given by him to the bank were of denominations of Rs.10, Rs.50 and Rs.100 in the ratio 3:4:5 respectively. Find the number of notes of each denomination the boy deposited

Solution :-

Let us assume that,

  • Rs.10 notes are = 3x
  • Rs.50 notes are = 4x
  • Rs.100 notes are = 5x .

so,

→ 10 * 3x + 50 * 4x + 100 * 5x = 73000

→ 30x + 200x + 500x = 73000

→ 730x = 73000

→ x = (73000/730)

→ x = 100 .

therefore,

  • Rs.10 notes are = 3x = 3 * 100 = 300 .
  • Rs.50 notes are = 4x = 4 * 100 = 400 .
  • Rs.100 notes are = 5x = 5 * 100 = 500 .
