Answer:

5 m

Explanation:

In the given situation, stone is initially at rest, where its velocity is 0.

When it dropped, gravitational force acts on it, and, gives an acceleration of g.

Let the height be 'h'.

Using S = ut + (1/2) at^2.

 Here, u = 0  ,  t = 1 ,   a = g = 10m/s^2

⇒ S = (0)1 + (1/2)(g)(1)^2

      = 0 + (1/2)(10)(1)

      = 5 m

u = 0 m/s

t = 1 s

g = 10 m/s²

s = ut + ½at²

» s = 0 + ½(10)(1)²

» s = 5 m
