Let the number of correct answers be x and number of wrong answers be y
Now x + y = 24 ...........................eq1 (Given)
3x - 2y = 37.......................................eq2
Multiplying eq1 by 2 we get
2x + 2y = 48........................................eq3
Now solving eq2 and eq3 using elimination method, we get :
x = 17 and y = 7
correct answers = 17
wrong answers = 7
