Answer:

THE ANSWER IS:-

THE AVERAGE SPEED OF THE BOY IN THE BUS IS "24 KM/H".

Explanation:

WE SOLVE LIKE THIS:-

•GOING SPEED - 20 KM/H

•COMING SPEED - 30 KM/H

LET THE TOTAL DISTANCE BE "x"

•TIME FOR GOING = x÷2/20

•TIME FOR COMING = x÷2/30 (SINCE HE TRAVELLING TWICE,GOING AND COMING)

SINCE (TIME = DISTANCE/SPEED)

SO,TOTAL TIME = x/40 + x/60

= 3x + 2x/120

= 5x/120 = x/24

THEREFORE (AVERAGE SPEED = TOTAL DISTANCE/TOTAL TIME)

= x/x÷24

= x * 24/x

= 24 KM/H

THEREFORE,

AVERAGE SPEED = 24 KM/H

HOPE IT HELPS YOU.
