ᴄᴏʀʀᴇᴄᴛ ǫᴜᴇsᴛɪᴏɴ :-

A boy goes fromA to B with a velocity of 30m/s and comes back from B to A with a velocity of 45m/s.

ᴛᴏ ғɪɴᴅ :-

  • Average velocity (A. S. ) of whole journey

sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

Let the distance between A and B be x m

then,

» Speed from :-

  • A ➨ B = B ➨ A
  • Displacement = 0

Because he goes from A to B and returned back from B to A so displacement will be 0.

Now,

We know that,

 \implies \tt \: Average \: Velocity (A.V.)= \frac{Total \: Displacement \: }{Total \: Time \: Taken} \\ \\ \\ \implies \sf \: A.V. = \frac{0 }{t} = 0

Hence,

  • Average Velocity (A. V.) = 0m/s

Question :-

⋄A boy goes fromA to B with a velocity of 30m/s and comes back from B to A with a velocity of 45m/s the average velocity of the body during the

whole journey.

❍ Answer :-

We know that,

velocity is defined as the rate of change of displacement.

It's SI unit m/s.

It is vector quantity.

_______________________________

Here,

The boy start from A and goes to be and comes back from B to A .

In this case the displacement is Zero.

When the displacement is Zero then the average velocity is also equal to zero

Let, the total time taken by boy is t

Av. velocity =Total displacement /total time taken

Av. velocity =0/t

Av. Velocity =0m/s.

∴The average velocity of boy is 0m/s.
