Find the passing marks:

passing marks = 90 + 10 = 100

Find the total marks:

Passing percentage = 40%

Passing marks = 100

40% = 100 marks

1% = 100 ÷ 40 = 2.5

100% = 2.5 x 100 = 250 marks

Percentage of the boy's marks:

Percentage = 90/250 x 100 = 36%

Answer: The total marks is 250 and the boy got 36%

HEYA MATE, HERE IS UR ANSWER _________________

Marks the student got =90

Marks needed to pass =90+10
= 100

Let the total marks be x .

Passing percentage =40%

according to the question

40%of x=100

40/100×x =100

x=100×100/40

x=250 .

So total marks =250 .

Percentage of the student=90/250×100
