A boy has a few coins of denominations 50 paise, 25 paise and 10 paise in the ratio 1: 2: 3. If the total amount of the coins is Rs. 6.50, the number of 50 paise coins is?
(a) 5
(b) 10

Let us consider  the no. of 50p coins to be x hen value of the same will be x/2.

Let us consider the no. of 25p coins to be 2x then the value of the same will be 2x/4 = x/2.

Let us consider the no. of 10p coins to be 3x then the value of same will be 3x/10.

Now putting values x/2 + x/2 + 3x/10 = 6.50 after solving we get the value of x=5 then no. of 10p coins is 3*5=15
