Cost of one book = x

Cost of 20 books = 20x

20x = (x - 0.25)22 + 0.70           (given)

20x = 22x - 5.50 + 0.70

2x = 4.8

x = 2.4

The money he had = 20 x 2.4 = Rs. 48

From NSTSE BOOK the question is it is a good book you can buy. I *got* this question in NSTSE BOOK Class 7...

Cost of one book = x

Cost of 20 books = 20x

20x = (x - 0.25)22 + 0.70           (given)

20x = 22x - 5.50 + 0.70

2x = 4.8

x = 2.4

The money he had = 20 x 2.4 = Rs. 48
