a boy has made a model ship of mass 2 kg. What should be the volume of ship so that it can float in water (density of water is 1000kg/m^3)​

we see the density of water is given in m^3, we shall first convert the volume in cm to m. so it will surely be 900/100 as 100 cm is 1 m. Volume now 9m^3

Finally we put in the values to find the density of the ship as we need to see whether it will float or not.

so, density = mass/volume

= 1.1 / 9

so density of the ship is 0.123 kg which is so much more lower than the density of water. Hence it will float on water
