a boy has made a model ship with a mass of 1.1 kg and a volume of 900cm3. Will it float on water? (Density of water is 1000kg m-3)

Volume of ship = 900cm^2 = 9m^m3

Density of ship = 1.1 ÷9 =0.123kgm ^3

since the density of ship is less than water there it will float

Hi sis you gave the wrong answer, actually you converted 900cm to m and that is 9, and 900cm³ to m³ is 0.0009m³

Density= Mass ÷ Volume

=1.1÷0.0009

=1222.22kg/m³

As the Density of modelship is more than the density of water, it will not float
